Technology Change & Adoption Manager - Sonnel Hospitality
Senior enough to shape the roadmap. Practical enough to make it land.
Sonnel is growing fast, and we're moving from one-off system rollouts to a properly structured digital roadmap covering our venues, Support Office, guest experience, data and automation. This role exists to make that roadmap actually work in the real world, not just on paper.
If you can move comfortably between big-picture roadmap thinking and the practical, sometimes unglamorous work of getting a venue team ready to use a new tool with confidence, this is built for you.
Why This Role Matters
Technology only creates value when people actually use it well. This role connects roadmap delivery, business change, venue readiness, training, communication and adoption, so new tools land cleanly and genuinely improve how the business operates, rather than becoming another system nobody quite adopted.
What You'll Own
- Defined roadmap workstreams from discovery through to adoption
- Change impacts, stakeholder plans and readiness checks
- Training approach, support content and knowledge hub quality
- Adoption measures, user feedback and improvement actions
- A clear handover from project delivery to business as usual
What You'll Shape
- Digital roadmap delivery approach
- Change and adoption strategy
- Venue readiness and rollout sequencing
- Training, knowledge and superuser rhythm
- Post-launch feedback and improvement loops
What Success Looks Like
- Systems are easier to adopt and understand
- Venue teams feel prepared before go-live
- Support Office teams know what is changing and why
- Adoption is measured after launch, not assumed
- Technology roadmap value is protected through better execution
Who We're Looking For
- You can work confidently with senior leaders, vendors, project teams and frontline users
- You're structured enough to create delivery discipline, but practical enough to make it work in venues
- You can write clearly, train simply, challenge constructively and keep people moving
- You understand that adoption starts early, not after the system is built
- You want ownership, impact and variety, not a narrow change administration role
Your First 6 to 12 Months
First 90 days: understand the roadmap, systems landscape and stakeholder map; review current training, SOP and rollout gaps; build the change and adoption playbook for priority initiatives.
3 to 6 months: take ownership of selected roadmap workstreams; stand up the superuser rhythm and Training Hub standards; build readiness checks for priority rollouts.
6 to 12 months: embed repeatable change delivery disciplines; measure adoption and benefits after key launches; turn feedback into roadmap improvements.
What This Role Is Not
This is not a systems administrator role. It is not a training-delivery-only role. It is not the final commercial product owner for every platform. The role owns change, adoption, training governance, superuser enablement and product enablement feedback, so roadmap initiatives land well and keep improving after go-live.
