Emmanuel College is seeking an engaging and passionate Science and Psychology Teacher to join our Secondary School teaching team in a permanent, ongoing position from Term 1, 2027.

About the Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic secondary educator to deliver engaging and high-quality learning experiences across Science and Psychology.
As a Science and Psychology Teacher at Emmanuel College, you will plan and deliver purposeful, contemporary learning programs that encourage curiosity, inquiry, critical thinking and a strong understanding of scientific and psychological concepts.
You will create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, use a range of teaching and assessment strategies to meet diverse learning needs, and help students develop the confidence and skills required to achieve their best.
The role also provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across relevant curriculum areas and contribute positively to the broader academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the College.
About You
We are looking for a teacher who brings enthusiasm, subject knowledge and a genuine passion for helping young people grow.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current Queensland College of Teachers registration
- Qualifications and experience relevant to teaching Secondary Science and Psychology
- Strong teaching, communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills
- The ability to design engaging, sequential and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- The ability to differentiate learning effectively and support students with diverse abilities and learning needs
- A commitment to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, inquiry and academic growth
- A collaborative, flexible and student-centred approach
- A commitment to supporting student wellbeing and building positive relationships
- An understanding of Christian education and a commitment to incorporating Christian values authentically into College life
