Are you ready to broaden your experience and take the next step in your career?
We have a fixed-term opportunity for a Stores Coordinator within our Herbert Region, providing backfill within the Stores team. This is an opportunity to build on your existing experience while developing broader capability across stores coordination, inventory management and site supply activities.
As Stores Coordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the stores function, coordinating inventory activities and helping ensure materials are available when our operational, maintenance and capital teams need them. You'll work closely with the Stores team, site stakeholders and Procurement to support safe, accurate and efficient stores operations.
Whether you're looking to build on your existing warehousing and inventory experience or broaden your capability within Wilmar, this role offers valuable exposure to stores coordination in a busy industrial environment.
Located in North Queensland, Ingham offers a laid-back lifestyle, with stunning island beaches and exciting outdoor adventures right at your doorstep. Whether you're into fishing and boating, hiking, or just chilling by the beach, the Herbert Region has it all waiting for you.
Your Role in Action
- Coordinate the Team: Support the day-to-day coordination of the Stores team, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and customer service while helping ensure work priorities are effectively managed.
- Keep Inventory on Track: Coordinate stores activities and data processing, maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting effective stock control.
- Support Site Operations: Work closely with Procurement and site stakeholders to help ensure materials are received, stored and supplied when required, minimising disruption to production, maintenance and capital activities.
- Keep Things Moving: Support stocktakes, logistics, order management and established stores systems and processes to maintain efficient day-to-day operations.
- Solve Problems: Identify and escalate issues that may affect Stores or site operations and provide practical, hands-on support to resolve problems as they arise.
Your Winning Combination
We're looking for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a practical approach to getting the job done. You'll be comfortable working with different stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and contributing as part of a small team.
Previous warehousing, stores or inventory experience will be highly regarded, along with experience using SAP and Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills, accuracy and the ability to work with a level of autonomy will also be important.
A Forklift High Risk Work Licence is required for the role; however, training may be considered for the right applicant who demonstrates the aptitude and capability to succeed in the position.

At Wilmar, you'll be embraced as a valued member of our team, appreciated for your unique contributions. We offer competitive pay and benefits, including additional leave and superannuation entitlements and exclusive partner discounts. Our emphasis on safety and innovation creates a supportive work environment where you can thrive.
This fixed-term opportunity also provides the chance to broaden your experience and develop your capability across inventory management, systems, stakeholder coordination and the day-to-day requirements of supporting a busy operational environment.
