About the role
We're looking for a motivated and organised Assistant Project Officer to join the Regulatory Capability team within Hospitality & Racing.
This role is ideal for someone interested in workforce capability, learning and development, employee engagement, organisational culture or project coordination. You'll provide operational and project support across a diverse portfolio of initiatives that help build a skilled, professional and values-driven workforce.
Working across learning and development, onboarding, culture, engagement and integrity initiatives, you'll help coordinate training activities, events, communications, stakeholder engagement and reporting that support the delivery of Hospitality & Racing's workforce priorities.
You'll also play an important role in helping the team deliver on Hospitality & Racing's commitment to building a modern and skilled workforce by ensuring capability and engagement initiatives are well coordinated, effectively administered and delivered on time.
About you
You enjoy coordinating learning, capability and people initiatives and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. You are proactive, organised and customer-focused, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You will bring:
- Experience working in a learning and development, workforce capability, organisational development, employee experience or broader people and culture team.
- Experience providing project, program or administrative support, including coordinating training, onboarding, events, communications or employee engagement activities.
- Experience managing learning administration activities such as training enrolments, conference requests, scheduling, stakeholder communications, record keeping and reporting.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations, communications and correspondence.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records, documentation and information.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, learning management systems, survey platforms and other business systems to support administration, reporting, stakeholder engagement and coordination activities.
- Experience working in a government, regulatory or similarly complex environment is desirable.
