Bondi Beach Public School nurtures the academic, physical, social-emotional, and creative skills of every child. Students pursue excellence as a reflection of individual growth and engagement with well targeted and differentiated learning. High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) is fundamental to the learning of many students and therefore the programming that accommodates a wide range of achievement. Across the learning continuum, students are encouraged to explore and develop the integrated skills that motivate learning. Staff professional learning supports these goals and reflects a studied understanding of students’ needs.
Bondi Beach Public School values student agency and voice as a means of building and sustaining equitable outcomes. The school offers many co-curricular opportunities, including languages, sport, chess, coding, dance, choir, recorder, band, extension maths, debating and public speaking. The performing arts are a valued part of school life. All students engage in music lessons with a specialist teacher, building skills and the confidence to embrace artistic expression. Local performances, events and competitions are embraced by the community.
Bondi Beach Public School is an inclusive community that views wellbeing and learning as inseparable outcomes of school life. Students, staff and families work closely together with the dedicated Learning Support Team. The P&C proactively contribute to the quality of school life: uniform shop, canteen, out-of-school care, Welcome BBQ, Mother's and Father's Day celebrations, the Colour Run, and Year 6 graduation. The Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) framework guides students to take ownership of their learning and develop the skills of engaged and mutually supportive citizens.
