What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the Unaccredited Trainee in Orthopaedic Surgery is to provide effective medical services to surgical patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. The Unaccredited Trainee is responsible for the initial assessment of patients and ongoing day-today management under the direction of the appropriate attending medical officer who has legal responsibility for ensuring appropriate communication and documentation takes place, including collection of appropriate Morbidity and Mortality data as well as a responsibility for the training and supervision of the the Junior medical staff. The Unaccredited Trainee is responsible for the delegating clinical and administrative duties to the Junior members of the staff.
