The Opportunity
As Legal Counsel, you will provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across a diverse range of matters including:
- Commercial contracting and negotiations
- Property and infrastructure projects
- Governance activities
- Regulatory compliance and risk management
- Policy and governance framework reviews
- Legal support for strategic business initiatives
- Legal education and capability building across the organisation
You'll enjoy exposure to a broad range of legal issues that many solicitors only encounter briefly in private practice, allowing you to develop both your legal and commercial capability in a highly supportive environment.
About You
We're interested in speaking with commercially minded lawyers who are looking to take the next step in their career.
You will bring:
- Admission as a legal practitioner in Australia and a current Queensland practising certificate
- At least 5+ years' post-admission experience in corporate or commercial law
- Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A practical and solutions-focused approach to legal advice
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities
- A genuine interest in partnering with the business to achieve strategic outcomes
Experience in aged care, health, property, construction or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
