The Role
The Gardener is responsible for providing high-quality gardening and landscaping services to NDIS participants, ensuring their outdoor spaces are safe, accessible, and well-maintained. This role requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail to ensure a safe environment for NDIS participants.

Competitive Pay & Reimbursement
- $0.96 per km travel allowance (capped at 30km per shift)
- $5 per shift equipment reimbursementDuties include but are not limited to:
- Perform general gardening duties, including lawn mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and planting.
- Ensure all gardening equipment is maintained, cleaned, and in safe working order.
- Maintain garden beds, hedges, and trees in a safe and visually appealing condition.
- Clear pathways, driveways, and outdoor areas to ensure accessibility and safety.
- Monitor and report any hazards, such as overgrown trees or broken pathways, that could impact participant safety.
- Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, including the proper handling of tools and chemicals.
- Work independently to ensure contractual obligations are met and exceeded, promptly reporting any on-site issues to management.
- Adhere to NDIS provider guidelines and organisational policies when delivering gardening services.
- Report any incidents, hazards, or maintenance issues in a timely manner.
About You
- Experience: Previous experience in gardening services is preferred, particularly in residential or healthcare settings. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or vulnerable populations is an asset.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and products suitable for various surfaces and environments. Understanding of infection control principles and procedures is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals, including people with disabilities, their families, and support workers.
- Reliability and Trustworthiness: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of NDIS participants.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities, and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as required.
- Screening Checks: Successful candidates are required to complete screening checks such as a police check and working rights verification.
