We are seeking a Senior Engineer – Roads & Highways, to support the delivery of Roads & Highways projects across South Australia and nationally.
In this role, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality roads and highways solutions across major infrastructure projects. You’ll contribute to technical delivery across road design, transport planning and traffic engineering packages, supporting project outcomes while maintaining quality, coordination, and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated engineer to further develop their design capability, contribute to major projects, and build strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Deliver civil design across Roads & Highways projects, producing high-quality engineering outputs

Provide technical input across road design, traffic engineering and transport planning deliverables

Undertake or contribute to traffic assessments, intersection analyses, road safety reviews and transport studies where required

Prepare engineering reports and contribute to tender proposals

Ensure all analysis and design work meets relevant standards, Austroads guidelines and client requirements

Collaborate with project teams, road authorities and stakeholders to ensure coordinated, timely delivery

Contribute to the technical success and overall performance of projects and the team
You are a capable Civil Engineer with a background in engineering consultancy and a passion for delivering quality design outcomes.
You will bring:
-
6+ years’ experience in civil design within infrastructure projects

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
-
Strong civil design capability within Roads & Highways projects, with exposure to traffic engineering, transport planning, road safety or transport modelling viewed favourably
-
Experience using relevant software such as 12d, CIRCLY and AutoCAD. Experience with traffic engineering and transport planning tools such as SIDRA, LinSig, Aimsun or similar will be highly regarded

The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Willingness to undertake occasional travel as required by projects

You will bring:
