About the Role
As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of efficient and effective People & Culture services across the organisation. Working closely with the HR Business Partners and the wider People & Culture team, you will provide high-quality administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with employment legislation, industrial instruments, and organisational policies.
This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting managers and employees, maintaining accurate HR records, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will provide practical HR support while assisting with HR systems, reporting, documentation, compliance activities, and a range of People & Culture projects.
Key Responsibilities
As our Human Resources Coordinator, you will:
- Provide high-quality administrative support across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment variations, probation, contract renewals and offboarding.
- Prepare employment contracts, letters, employee correspondence and other HR documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate electronic employee files and HR records in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Manage the People & Culture inbox, responding to routine enquiries and escalating matters where appropriate.
- Support managers and employees by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and processes, referring complex matters to the HR Business Partners where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment administration and onboarding activities.
- Liaise with managers and internal stakeholders to ensure onboarding activities and employment documentation are completed in a timely manner.
- Support payroll processing by preparing and submitting employee movements, employment changes and other payroll-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation and workforce information.
- Assist with the coordination and administration of HR processes, ensuring documentation and records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain the integrity of employee data within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring information is accurate, current and confidential.
- Assist with HR reporting, workforce analytics and the preparation of regular people metrics and dashboards.
- Liaise with external HRIS providers and internal stakeholders to assist with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
- Ensure all HR documentation, records and processes comply with employment legislation, industrial instruments and organisational policies.
- Build positive working relationships across the organisation by providing responsive, professional, and customer-focused HR support.
About You
You are a proactive and detail oriented HR professional who enjoys supporting others and delivering excellent customer service. You will bring strong administrative capability, a willingness to learn, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
Essential
- A qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, or demonstrated experience in a Human Resources Coordinator or HR Administration role.
- Previous experience providing administrative support within a Human Resources or People & Culture environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and confidential records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with employees, managers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- A customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing timely and professional HR support.
Desirable
- Experience working within the not-for-profit, community services, health, aged care or disability sectors.
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial instruments, awards and enterprise agreements.
- Experience supporting payroll processes, HR reporting or workforce data administration.
