About the role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to promote and grow our industrial signage, branding, and fabrication solutions. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, preparing quotations, conducting product presentations, and achieving sales targets. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a proactive approach to business development, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service while driving revenue growth and market expansion.

Position: Sales Representative (Industrial Products)
Location of Work: 9 Trade Place, Lilydale, Vic -3140
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 plus guaranteed superannuation
Duties and Responsibilities
· Technical Assessment & Client Consultation: Review client concepts and architectural plans to assess technical needs, recommending the most suitable industrial fabrication methods, materials, and services to achieve the desired outcome.
· Commercial Quoting & Estimating: Scope out the true technical costs of manufacturing bespoke products on the factory floor. Prepare, quote, and negotiate accurate pricing for high-end retail and commercial signage projects.
· Technical Translation: Act as the technical liaison for the sales team, updating knowledge of our manufacturing capabilities, materials, and competitors' offerings to ensure our quoted solutions are highly marketable and viable.
· Production & Logistics Coordination: Factor in the complete lifecycle of the product during the estimating phase, arranging and quoting the delivery of goods, site logistics, and the provision of installation services.
· Reporting & Workflow Integration: Prepare detailed estimating reports for operations and sales management to ensure accurate project handovers. Follow up with the production team and clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve any technical problems arising during the build.
Qualification and Skills
· Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honors) or a higher degree in a highly relevant technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Industrial Design).
· A Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional B2B experience in sales of industrial design, retail store design, or technical fabrication.
· Technical Proficiency: High-level understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, CAD, and how complex concepts are physically built on a factory floor.
· Commercial Acumen: Strong foundation skills in product costing, with a willingness to be mentored in the commercial, quoting, and negotiating aspects of the business.
