Qualifications
Cert III in Disability Care
Proof of First Aid Training
Recent, related experience working as a Support Worker
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate effectively in English
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with participants, staff and the general public
Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple and changing tasks that require attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team
Commitment to Person-Centred care with a Service-Oriented attitude
Basic computer skills
Ability to problem solve
Demonstrate initiative within appropriate scope of practice
Demonstrated knowledge of protocol to escalate concerns
Must be self-directed and show initiative
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
