The Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Support Worker to provide home cleaning and household cleaning services for a participant in Heidelberg Heights, VIC.
This position is specifically for cleaning and household support services. The successful applicant will primarily assist with maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic, and comfortable home environment in accordance with the participant's NDIS support requirements.

About the Support
The successful Support Worker will provide household cleaning assistance within the participant's home.
The focus of this role is on supporting the participant with maintaining their household environment where cleaning tasks are required as part of their funded supports.
Cleaning Services May Include

General household cleaning
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Dusting and wiping surfaces
- Cleaning kitchen areas and benchtops
- Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
- Cleaning sinks and other household surfaces
- Emptying household bins
- General tidying associated with the cleaning service
- Maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Other reasonable household cleaning tasks agreed as part of the participant's support requirements
This role is focused specifically on household cleaning services and does not involve personal care, community access, social support, or clinical support unless separately agreed and authorised.
Responsibilities of the Role
As the participant's Cleaning Support Worker, you will:

Provide reliable and consistent household cleaning support.
- Complete agreed cleaning tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
- Respect the participant's home, privacy, belongings, routines, and preferences.
- Follow any reasonable cleaning instructions or preferences provided by the participant.
- Maintain appropriate hygiene and safety practices while working in the home.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately.
- Identify and communicate any relevant hazards or maintenance concerns observed within the home.
- Maintain accurate shift notes and documentation as required.
- Communicate professionally with the participant and the Chosen Family Operations Team.
- Deliver services in a respectful, person-centred, and dignity-focused manner.
Looking For (Ideally)

Previous experience in professional cleaning, domestic assistance, housekeeping, or NDIS household support is highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent.
- Comfortable working independently in a participant's home.
- Respectful of privacy, personal belongings, and individual household preferences.
- Good understanding of hygiene and safe cleaning practices.
- Physically capable of completing routine household cleaning tasks.
- Friendly, respectful, and professional.
- Able to follow instructions and complete agreed tasks within the allocated shift.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Applicants Must Have

NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check, if applicable.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Smartphone for documentation and communication.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience in cleaning or household services is preferred.
- An understanding of person-centred practice and working respectfully within participants' homes.
