Ozcare is seeking compassionate and reliable casual In Home Support Workers to join our Rockhampton Aged Care at Home team, supporting clients throughout the Capricorn Coast region.
As an In Home Support Worker, you will play an important role in helping older Australians remain independent and comfortable in their own homes. About the Role
Working as part of our Aged Care at Home team, you will provide practical assistance and social support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans. Every day brings the opportunity to make a genuine difference in someone's life.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing quality home support services that promote independence, dignity and wellbeing
Undertaking domestic duties including cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
Assisting with shopping, transport and community access
Providing social support and companionship to clients
Monitoring and reporting changes in client wellbeing
Maintaining accurate documentation and records
Working collaboratively with the broader care team to ensure positive client outcomes
Participating in training, meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Complying with workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
A caring, patient and respectful approach to supporting older people
Previous experience in home support, community care, aged care, disability support or a similar role
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
A positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Flexibility to work across a varied roster
Candidates with availability to work across 5-7 days of the work will be highly regarded

Mandatory Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
Current National Police Check (valid within the past 3 years)
Current First Aid and CPR Certifications
Current 'Open' Queensland Driver Licence
A reliable, roadworthy vehicle with current registration and comprehensive vehicle insurance certificate
Adept using mobile devices and basic computer applications
Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, MMR, Whooping Cough & Chicken Pox
