About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our high‑performing Sydney M&A team. In this role, you will work closely with the Office Managing Partner as well as a broader group of fee earners, where your strong organisational skills and proactive approach will be highly valued and make a meaningful impact.
You'll be the go-to person for coordination and support, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional client service. This role calls for a confident professional with strong judgment, discretion, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end calendar coordination and travel arrangements
- Managing sensitive and confidential correspondence
- Planning and delivering events, including all logistical requirements
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Matter file administration, including opening/closing files and digital document management
- Preparing monthly bills, client reports, and processing invoices
- Corporate card (AMEX) expense reconciliation
- Day-to-day administrative support including printing and filing
- Ad hoc tasks and projects as they arise
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite
- Outstanding ability to organise workloads and prioritise effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
- Proven track record of supporting multiple senior leaders simultaneously
- Composure and resilience when working under pressure with competing deadlines
- Meticulous eye for detail and commitment to accuracy
- A positive, can-do attitude with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs
