About the role:
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and executive management support to the Deputy Secretary, Mental Health and Wellbeing Division. The role provides a pivotal point of contact for key stakeholders from a diverse range of government, health and mental health and non-government organisations.
The Executive Assistant is required to manage and coordinate the activities of the Deputy Secretary's office with consideration to confidential and sensitive materials. This includes organisation and preparation of material for key meetings, decision making, events, travel arrangements, systems administration, accommodation and equipment, and proactively assist colleagues to navigate systems and processes and contribute to team planning and activities.

About you:

Resolves operational service delivery problems consistent with program objectives.

Prepares reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues that impact at program or organisational level

Researches and applies advanced theoretical knowledge in a specialised field to operational problem solving

Draft and develop material including the preparation of Cabinet and Cabinet related material, Ministerial and Secretary briefings and meeting papers, agendas, minutes and reports.
Qualification/Specialisty Expertise

A qualification in business, project management, or working in government would be advantageous but not required.

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in managing and supporting departmental executive functions and processes would be advantageous.
