About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Dietitian looking to establish and grow a strong patient base through an existing GP referral network.
You will provide evidence-based nutrition assessment, education, and management for adults, children, and families presenting with a wide range of health conditions and lifestyle concerns.
We welcome applications from experienced Dietitians as well as motivated early-career practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for adult and paediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Provide dietary management for:
- Diabetes and pre-diabetes
- Weight management
- Cardiovascular disease
- Gastrointestinal conditions
- Food allergies and intolerances
- Paediatric nutrition and feeding concerns
- General healthy lifestyle and preventative health care
- Deliver nutrition counselling and behaviour change support
- Work collaboratively with GPs and other healthcare professionals
- Prepare clinical reports and correspondence as required
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Participate in multidisciplinary care planning
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia
- Eligibility to provide Medicare-funded services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical reasoning and patient-centred care approach
- Ability to work independently in a busy clinical environment
Desirable
- Experience in private practice or medical centre settings
- Experience working with children and families
- Interest in chronic disease management and preventative health
- Experience with Best Practice or similar clinical software
- WorkCover and TAC experience (preferred but not essential)
