We're currently seeking a skilled and motivated Sheetmetal Worker to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft and wants to be part of a supportive and professional working environment.
Key Duties
The successful applicant will:
- Interpret engineering drawings, plans, specifications and verbal instructions to determine material and equipment requirements.
- Select, measure and mark out aluminium, stainless steel, galvanised steel and other Sheetmetal stock.
- Cut Sheetmetal using hand and power shears, guillotines, drills and related equipment.
- Shape and form Sheetmetal using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses, hammers and other tools.
- Fabricate, fit and assemble Sheetmetal components using riveting and other joining methods.
- Finish fabricated products by filing, sanding, cleaning and other required processes.
- Install fabricated Sheetmetal products and cladding around piping, ductwork, vessels, equipment and industrial structures.
- Carry out on-site assembly, installation, repair, replacement and modification of Sheetmetal components.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality and compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools and Sheetmetal machinery.
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements and cooperate with supervisors and site personnel.
The role involves workshop fabrication and on-site installation of Sheetmetal cladding associated with industrial insulation systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Sheetmetal Worker or Sheetmetal Fabricator.
- Experience in measuring, cutting, forming, bending, joining and installing Sheetmetal.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- White Card, current driver's licence and reliable transport.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Confined space, working at heights, EWP or forklift licences and industrial insulation experience are desirable.
