Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Aquila Mine are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Office r to provide comprehensive administrative support across Engineering, Maintenance, Technical Services, Business Improvement and broader site functions. This is a varied role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities within a fast-paced mining environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, ensuring administrative processes run efficiently while contributing to business continuity and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support to multiple departments across site
- Coordinate travel and accommodation bookings, including flights and vehicle hire
- Manage site vehicle administration, including servicing, repairs and inspections
- Create and process purchase requisitions
- Perform credit card and account reconciliations
- Support daily forecasting activities and reporting requirements
- Coordinate meetings, meeting rooms and catering arrangements
- Arrange off-site meetings and business events
- Maintain accurate records and data entry systems
- Provide leave coverage and administrative support for key site functions, including SORD administration
- Assist with operational continuity during periods of leave and workforce shortages
- Build strong working relationships across site departments and stakeholders
- Full-time, permanent position based at Aquila Mine
- Monday to Friday Roster
