About the Role
As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of our workshop operations while supporting field-based and breakdown activities.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent people skills and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.

The role will oversee:

Workshop maintenance and repair activities

Fabrication and boilermaking works
-
Mobile plant and equipment maintenance
-
Site-based projects
-
Breakdown and call-out services
-
Resource planning and scheduling
-
Safety, quality and operational performance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
-
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Diesel Fitter or equivalent in Mobile Maintenance

Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor or Workshop Manager position

Demonstrated experience leading teams of tradespeople and apprentices
-
Strong knowledge of mobile plant, heavy equipment and/or industrial maintenance
-
Experience coordinating workshop and field service operations
-
Excellent organisational and communication skills
-
Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture

Current C Class Driver Licence
Desirable:
-
Experience working within the mining, industrial or construction sectors
-
High Risk Work Licences
-
Experience with estimating, job costing and resource planning
Your Key Responsibilities-
Lead and mentor a team of Supervisors, Diesel Fitters, Boilermakers and Apprentices

Coordinate workshop, site and breakdown activities to meet client requirements

Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

Manage labour, materials and equipment resources

Monitor productivity, budgets and job performance

Foster a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements
