The Company

Symbion is a division of EBOS Healthcare and part of EBOS Group Pty Ltd. With almost 5,700 employees in 133 locations across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia EBOS Group is the largest and most diversified Australasian marketer, wholesaler and distributor of healthcare, medical and pharmaceutical products. It is also a leading marketer and distributor of recognised animal care brands.

The Role
The Symbion team is seeking a Business Development Partner to identify, engage and convert new first line wholesale business across the pharmacy market. This hands-on role will see you working closely with prospective customers, Symbion Business Partners, aligned Brand and Banner groups, and internal business units to build and convert a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
This is a highly autonomous role suited to a commercially minded and persistent sales professional who can build strong relationships quickly, present tailored solutions and convert prospects within agreed timeframes. You will use Salesforce, internal reporting tools and ROIC modelling to manage customer information, track activity and support data-led decision making.
What you will do:
Identify and convert new business by proactively targeting non-Symbion accounts and converting prospects to first line wholesale customers.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders including Symbion Business Partners, aligned Brand and Banner groups and internal business units to identify and secure new opportunities.
Present tailored customer solutions that support long-term commercial viability for both Symbion and prospective customers.
Maintain accurate Salesforce activity by updating prospect, store and contact details weekly and after each customer interaction.
Use commercial tools and reporting including ROIC modelling, internal systems and customer data to prepare offers, reports and new account information.
Travel as required to meet prospective customers and support business development activity across your territory.
What we are looking for:
Commercial & Analytical: You possess strong analytical skills and can translate complex financial and retail data into clear, actionable business cases for your customers.
Resilient Negotiator: You have the professional confidence to manage expectations and hold firm on commercial boundaries without damaging the partnership.
Tech Literate: You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (including Intermediate Excel) and comfortable using tools like Salesforce as your "single source of truth" for data.
Proactive & Autonomous: You don’t rely on a rigid call cycle. You identify opportunities, set your own priorities, and take full ownership of your territory’s success.
Experienced: You have a proven track record in multi-dimensional sales or retail management. While pharmacy experience is not essential, your ability to sell complex commercial concepts is critical.
