Position Summary
As an Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of events, meetings, and group bookings across the hotel. Working closely with Event Managers, Sales, Reservations, Front Office, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage and operational teams, you will ensure seamless event delivery from enquiry through to execution.
This role is ideal for a highly organised hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate the planning and execution of meetings, events, social functions and group bookings.
- Prepare and maintain detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event documentation.
- Assist with event logistics including room setup requirements, catering, audiovisual arrangements and special guest requests.
- Support group reservations management, room block administration and rooming list coordination.
- Partner with Sales and Event Managers to maximise business opportunities and deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct event administration, reporting and database management activities.
- Support site inspections and familiarisation visits.
- Deliver personalised service aligned with The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards and Marriott International brand expectations.
- Resolve guest and client enquiries with professionalism and a commitment to service excellence.
About You:
- Previous experience in Events, Hospitality, Group Reservations, Sales Coordination or Hotel Operations.
- Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for guest service and luxury hospitality.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with Marriott systems such as CI/TY, Marsha or Empower is advantageous.
- Full working rights in Australia.
