AMSG’s NOC serves as a crucial 24/7 response interface, providing vital operational support to ensure the success of our critical service lines, with a particular emphasis on maritime operations, including marine pilotage. About the Role
As the Team Leader for NOC Operations, you will play a pivotal role in leading and optimising the National Operations Centre (NOC). Your focus will be on team shift leadership, operational efficiency, synchronisation and strategic planning. The role is a key enabler for AMSG & PSP operations in developing and enhancing NOC operations through.
This full time role entails working on a rotating roster, encompassing shifts during days, nights, and weekends. Upon appointment, extensive training will be provided, followed by ongoing support and development as you become an integral part of our team.
Requirements of the Role:
- Lead and coordinate daily NOC operations including dispatch allocations, support to launch coordination in Brisbane and Mooloolaba and Operational Support staff based in Brisbane & Melbourne
- Act as the first point of escalation for daily NOC operations in Brisbane and Melbourne
- Seek opportunities to collaborate with internal and remote teams to achieve efficiencies in daily operations.
- Coordinate and support NOC administration tasks as and when required including reporting, documentation control, plans development, safety documentation, incident reports, works/schedule plans and training plans.
- Drive positive, timely responses and resolutions for internal and external stakeholders and represent AMSG & PSP in a positive manner.
- Ensure the most effective use of resources is planned across multiple services.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with all procedures, and processes.
- Support the development and coordination of operational rosters
- Develop, implement, and monitor KPl's that maximise efficiency and productivity of the NOC services.
- With support, coordinate the operational roster for NOC operators.
- Provide superior client experience and engagement, establish, and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to and develop the AMSG body of knowledge fostering a culture of continuous improvement, customer service and delivery excellence.
- Participate in training as required by AMSG to perform required works and ensure required qualifications are entered and kept updated within AMSG Information Systems.

- Assist with the expansion of Company operations & marketing activities through customer engagement and internal collaboration and work to achieve AMSG’s goals and objectives in accordance with the Company's Business Management Manual.
- As directed assist with other duties within the sphere of Company operations.
To be successful, the candidate will ideally have:
- A Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant fields of study such as Business Management.
- At least 2 years of prior operations experience is required for the role.
- Developed staff supervision, leadership and task coordination experience.
- Client (external or internal) engagement and relationship management experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively communicate with a vast range of stakeholders, customers, employees and other parties.
- Conceptual and analytical capacity.
- Time management skills with an ability to prioritise work tasks in a real time environment.
- High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritise with an operational and safety focus.
- Confidence with BMS Systems& MS Applications to deliver a range of administrative tasks.
- Highly developed communications skills including the ability to effectively liaise with a range of employees & clients.
- Excellent conceptual and analytical capacity.
- Proven ability to work with limited direction, capacity to organise work and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork supporting, cooperating and working with colleagues to achieve an overall objective.
- Proven ability to allocate and utilise resources to meet organisational needs
- Goal oriented with commitment to self-development.
- Sound knowledge of WHS, Quality& Environmental Management practices.
