About the role
This is an exciting time to join our Procurement team.
Over the past 12 months, we've invested heavily in building a high-performing procurement function – bringing in new talent, strengthening capability, refining our processes and creating a clear vision for the future. The result is a refreshed and energised team that's focused on delivering real value to the business and creating a best-practice procurement function.
As a Procurement Specialist, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to support sourcing activities, supplier engagement and contract management outcomes. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of procurement activities while contributing to projects that deliver commercial value, manage risk and support operational success.
This role is ideally suited to someone looking to take the next step in their procurement career. You'll be supported by experienced procurement professionals who are committed to developing capability, sharing knowledge and helping you grow into a well-rounded procurement practitioner.
Key areas of focus include:
Supporting sourcing and tender activities across a range of categories.
Building effective supplier relationships and supporting contract outcomes.
Partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide procurement advice.
Ensuring procurement activities align with governance, compliance and probity requirements.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement practices, tools and processes.
About You
You're a curious and motivated procurement professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and learning from those around you.
You may already have experience supporting procurement, sourcing or commercial activities, or perhaps you've developed transferable skills in contracts, supply chain, commercial operations or a related discipline and are looking to grow your procurement career.
Most importantly, you're eager to learn, comfortable working with stakeholders and excited by the opportunity to be part of a team that's evolving and building for the future.
You'll bring:
Experience supporting procurement, sourcing or contract-related activities.
‘Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and manage procurement timelines to ensure project and sourcing milestones are achieved
A strong customer and stakeholder focus.
The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
An understanding of procurement processes, commercial principles, governance and risk management.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
A desire to continuously learn, develop and build your procurement capability.
