About the role
As a Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapist, you will:
- Provide professional lymphatic drainage massage treatments within your scope of training and experience
- Conduct client consultations and identify appropriate treatment approaches
- Adapt treatments to individual client needs
- Provide appropriate post-treatment and self-care advice (including rebooking)
- Maintain accurate client treatment notes
- Communicate professionally with clients and maintain a high standard of client care
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- Formal training/certification in lymphatic drainage massage
- Practical experience providing lymphatic drainage treatments
- Strong understanding of lymphatic anatomy and physiology
- Good knowledge of contraindications and situations requiring medical referral
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional, caring and client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional indemnity/public liability insurance, or willingness to obtain it
- Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain it
- Appropriate Australian work rights
Experience with post-operative lymphatic drainage is highly desirable.
Experience with other massage modalities, including remedial, relaxation or deep tissue, is also welcomed.
