About the role
In this role, you'll provide high-quality surgical services across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings while contributing to the ongoing development of surgical services across the North West Hospital and Health Service. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll have opportunities to lead, teach, mentor and drive quality improvement, all while enjoying the flexibility of a permanent part-time role.
Deliver specialist general surgical care across elective, emergency and outreach services.
Lead and support multidisciplinary teams while mentoring junior medical staff and contributing to education and training.
Participate in service development, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Competitive remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $729,509 p.a. (Pro-rata for part time employee) comprising:
Base salary ranges between $8,303.91 and $10,528.38 p.f. (L18-L27) (Pro-rata for part time employee).
Accommodation (provided as per NWHHS Accommodation Policy).
Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
5 weeks Annual Leave accumulation.
Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.
Attraction and retention incentive allowance of 50% base annual salary.
Regional and rural attraction allowance of 15% base annual salary.
Motor vehicle allowance.
Professional development allowance and leave of 3.6 weeks p.a.
Inaccessibility allowance.
Standby On-call penalties (paid per occurrence).
Transfer and appointment expenses (conditions apply).

Requirements
Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
A period of probation may apply.
