What you'll be doing
You’ll lead the systems, processes and commercial activity supporting corporate and clinical procurement projects across WSLHD. Using category management expertise, market insight and financial analysis, you’ll identify opportunities to improve performance, generate savings and maximise value.

Lead procurement projects including rebate schemes, contracts and new procurement initiatives

Identify and deliver cost-saving, value-add, investment and disinvestment opportunities

Develop robust business cases, cost-benefit analyses and performance measures to guide decisions

Lead horizon scanning, research and evaluation to identify emerging procurement opportunities

Strengthen governance, stakeholder capability and supplier partnerships through education, training and effective commercial practices

Advanced communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with people at all levels of the organisation

Ability to analyse and solve complex challenges / problems, including option appraisals

Experience in critical literature evaluation, change management, research and quality assurance activities

Good understanding of financial management and contract management

Relevant post-graduate qualifications or professional experience in management, business, commerce, accounting

Understanding of supply chain activities and how systems should support them, so as to be able to act as business owner of processes related to procurement project
