The most suitable applicant will demonstrate their applied knowledge, skills and experiences against these essential role requirements of the Individual Contributor leadership stream:
- An understanding of the criminal justice system or similar legislated work environment or alternatively demonstrated workplace experience that would evidence your ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the challenges of a demanding work environment including high level planning and organisational skills that ensure multiple tasks are completed within identified timeframes.
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills to support service delivery in an environment where engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders is critical.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills to ensure issues are identified and resolved including a demonstrated ability to identify and respond appropriately to identified risks related to prisoner management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail in this regard including in the preparation of and completion of complex reports, for both internal and external stakeholders; and
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, set priorities, monitor workflow and develop local strategies or work practices.
