About us
The Unley Swimming Centre is a leading outdoor swimming facility located in Forestville. Proudly owned and operated by the City of Unley for residents and the wider metropolitan area, the facility consists of an 8 lane heated 50m pool, junior pool, toddlers pool, shaded lawns, café and operates an extended season for 9 months of the year.
About the role
We are seeking a casual Swimming Instructor to deliver swimming lessons and water safety education to children and adults. You will ensure participants develop skills appropriate to their level in a safe and supportive environment. Applicants must be prepared to work in an environment with an expectation of high-level customer service satisfaction.
Availability Requirements
- Availability to work a minimum of 2 to 3 shifts per week
- Monday to Thursday 4pm to 6pm
- Must include at least one weekend shift
Essential Requirements
- Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certification
- Current Provide First Aid Certification
- Current Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
- Current Reporting Harm, Abuse and Neglect Certification
- Availability to work a minimum of 2 to 3 shifts per week
Desirable Attributes / Qualifications
- Ability to work across multiple areas within the centre
- Current Pool Lifeguard Award certification
- Additional certifications (e.g., Group Fitness, Aquarobics, Personal Training)
- Food handling and safety certification
