Part time BDM – Contractor (1–2 days per week)

We’re a financial planning practice looking for an experienced BDM who can work with us as an independent contractor, one to two days each week, to build referral relationships with accounting firms and create a steady flow of qualified opportunities.
This suits someone who likes autonomy, enjoys professional services conversations, and wants contract work rather than a full-time role.
About the role
You’ll be responsible for developing relationships with accounting firms, educating them on how we help their clients, and encouraging consistent referrals.
Your week will typically include:
- Visiting and calling accounting firms
- Speaking with partners, managers and key staff
- Explaining our advice offering in simple terms
- Identifying referral opportunities
- Managing follow ups and keeping a small pipeline organised
- Providing a brief weekly activity summary
You will not be giving financial advice. Your job is to build trust, open doors and help accountants feel confident referring clients.
What we’re looking for
- Strong BDM or relationship management background
- Comfortable talking with accountants and business owners
- Confident communicator who builds trust quickly
- Experience in professional services (accounting, legal, financial services, consulting) is preferred
- Organised and proactive when it comes to follow up
- Already operating as an ABN independent contractor, or willing to
- Able to work 1–2 days per week
