THE ROLE
Disabled Carer (includes NDIS Support Worker} is responsible for assisting in the provision of quality direct care services for people living with disabilities, who have a range of support needs, including high support. To support the delivery of community-focused services that are centered around individual client needs, and which ensure positive relationships with families.
DUTIES
- Assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Supporting individuals to participate in community activities, social events, and educational programs.
- Implementing individualized care plans and goals under the guidance of the NDIS plan and our care coordinators.
- Promoting independence, skill development, and self confidence among clients.
- Always Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
- Maintaining accurate records and progress reports for documentation purposes.
- Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic support and care.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for helping people with disabilities and a caring, empathetic nature.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and evenings, based on client needs.
- Ability to follow care plans and adapt to changing situations effectively.
- NDIS Workers screening
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
