Cartrack (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading global provider of fleet management, vehicle telematics, and security tracking solutions. As we continue to expand our operations across Queensland, we are seeking a qualified and highly skilled Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to join our technical operations team in Brisbane.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term career stability, continuous training on cutting-edge telemetry hardware, and excellent growth prospects within an industry-leading organization.
Position Purpose
You will perform autonomous, highly skilled technical duties involving the installation, advanced fault diagnosis, component-level repair, and precise calibration of complex electronic tracking equipment, telemetry circuitry, and automated control systems. You will ensure that all technical operations adhere strictly to Australian Standards (AS/NZS) and corporate regulatory frameworks.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- examining and testing machines, equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults
- adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment and instruments
- reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment
- advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
- receiving messages by interpreting code and converting to plain language, and writing and typing messages for transmission
- monitoring radio traffic, and transmitting and receiving voice messages
- installing electronic instruments and control systems
- applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles in commissioning and maintaining control systems
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3 years of hands-on work experience in Telematics & GPS Tracking and other Electronic Security Systems
Great to have but not required:
- AQF – Level 3 certificate
