About us:
The Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs (ATOD) Service delivers comprehensive services across Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and supports neighbouring services in Cape York, Torres Strait, and the Northern Peninsula Area. The service aims to provide accessible, integrated care, including clinical treatment, rehabilitation, disability support, early intervention, and mental health promotion and prevention.

About your role:
Work cooperatively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high level and complex forensic mental health and clinical services; including triage, forensic and clinical assessment, treatment, case management, clinical review and crisis management to children and young people with mental health concerns in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
Apply professional judgement to complex cases, adapting routine forensic mental health and clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
Provide high level forensic mental health specific advice through consultation and court liaison and provision of education to key stakeholders working with young people at risk of mental illness and involvement with criminal Justice system.
Maintain the currency and high quality of forensic mental health and clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise by actively contributing to and participating in professional development activities, including practice supervision.
