About the Role
As the Marketing Officer you will assist in the growth and engagement of Glen Eira Leisure’s (GEL) membership base through innovative marketing programs and events. This includes coordinating GEL’s online presence, creating physical and online marketing material, and monitoring and creating content for the GEL social media platforms.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Creating and designing physical and digital marketing materials.
- Designing and developing all social and digital platforms as well as traditional marketing materials.
- Monitoring all social media platforms and responding accordingly.
- Creating and implementing strategies to boost our social media presence.
- Researching and developing social media material.
- Filming and editing photos and videos for marketing use.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of the Glen Eira Leisure marketing plan.
- Providing sales support to membership consultants and conducting tours when required.
- Designing and developing bi-monthly member E-newsletters.
- Developing an annual calendar of value add programs and events. E.g. members breakfasts, sporting themed events, etc.

Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Communications or related discipline OR less formal qualifications with relevant experience.
- Experience in the development of social networking and websites for business purposes.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office and Adobe Designs suite programs to an intermediate level.
- Experience with filming, editing and posting videos online.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Current CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
