About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity available for someone to join our business as a Category Insights Manager!
Your role will be to act as the focal point of contact for Sales and Consumer Marketing for the assigned categories and to drive the development of those categories strategically and tactically.
Some of the responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
- Manage the product development process.
- Develop channel and retailer strategies to ensure ranging and associated objectives for new product initiatives and gaps within existing core.
- Devise a Customer / Category alignment strategy for all Grocery, Mass Merchant and Pharmacy channels.
- Complete category reviews for top customers (Coles, Woolworths, Priceline, CWH, Countdown, Foodstuffs)
- Analyse data for input into sales strategies and to provide ongoing review of strategy effectiveness.
- Develop shopper insights and category understandings for the assigned categories using scan and panel data sources, global shopper databases and local bespoke research.
- Provide core ranging details and preferred layouts aligned with assortment priorities and regularly distribute to our Sales Team.
- Manage the excess stock for products appearing on the 9 months and over list for assigned brands.
ABOUT YOU
- A Business-related degree preferably with a Marketing major
- Ideally have 2 to 3 years’ experience in your in Category Management/Trade Marketing and/or Account Management career within an FMCG environment
- Strong analytical skillset
- Ability to prioritise
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
- Negotiation skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Strong interpersonal skills
