Fino Vino is a South Australian restaurant in the heart of Adelaide, focused on great food, local produce and a relaxed but high-quality dining experience.
Our food is inspired by Mediterranean flavours and cooking, with a strong focus on using fresh produce from South Australia and working with local suppliers wherever possible.
We are currently looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our team and take charge of our kitchen.
The Position
We are looking for someone who is confident running a kitchen, enjoys working as team and has a genuine passion for creating great food.
You will be responsible for the overall running of the kitchen, working closely with the management team and leading our chefs during preparation and service.
This is a hands-on role, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being on the pass, cooking during service and working alongside their team rather than just managing from the side.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2.5 years' experience in a Head Chef or senior chef position
- Experience working in a busy restaurant, preferably fine dining or a high-quality dining environment
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills
- Good knowledge of Mediterranean-style cuisine and flavours
- Passion for fresh, seasonal and local produce
- Ability to create and develop new dishes and menus
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good understanding of food costing, ordering and stock control
- Ability to manage a kitchen during busy services
- High standards when it comes to food quality, presentation and cleanliness
- Someone reliable, organised and willing to be part of the team
Your Responsibilities
You will oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations, including menu preparation, ordering, stock management, food costing, staff training and maintaining food safety standards.
You will also have the opportunity to bring your own ideas to the menu and work with our team to continue developing the food at Fino Vino.
Pay: From $78,366.96 per year
