William Buck, more than advisors: We understand that exceptional advice comes from passionate people who thrive in an environment where they feel empowered to shape outcomes. That's why at William Buck, we've created what we like to call the 'Goldilocks' model – a top ten performing business that's just the right size to ensure every employee has a tangible impact.
William Buck is the perfect place to start, grow or take your career to the next level. Be part of a dynamic team that prides itself on delivering advice that makes a difference.
Description of the role: We’re seeking a PMO Lead to own the end-to-end delivery of the NSW & ACT project portfolio. In this role you will take personal accountability for the success of every initiative across the NSW and ACT offices from intake through to benefits realisation. You will lead complex initiatives to achieve agreed outcomes through others, apply sound judgement in governance, proactively manage risks and interdependencies, and support sponsors with decision-ready insights and options in ambiguous and changing environments.
What makes you ‘just right’:
You're an experienced project delivery professional who enjoys turning ideas into outcomes and is comfortable navigating complexity to keep things moving forward.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Have a proven ability to successfully deliver projects from concept through to implementation.
- Enjoy working hands-on and staying connected to the detail when needed to support successful outcomes.
- Can bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations and confidently move initiatives forward.
- Take a practical and balanced approach to decision-making, considering risk, value and business priorities.
- Enjoy contributing to the shaping and prioritisation of work, helping ensure effort is focused where it will have the greatest impact.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and can confidently engage and influence at all levels.
- Have experience working across project delivery, business analysis and change activities, adapting your approach to meet the needs of the initiative.
- Are comfortable operating in fast-paced and complex environments with competing priorities.
- Influence positive outcomes through collaboration, strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Focus on achieving sustainable results and successful adoption, not simply delivering milestones.
What your day might look like:
- Leading the delivery of multiple projects from initial scoping and planning through to successful implementation and business adoption.
- Partnering with stakeholders to transform ideas and opportunities into clear, actionable plans.
- Proactively managing risks, dependencies and competing priorities to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Working closely with Sponsors, Partners and business leaders to align expectations, priorities and decision-making.
- Contributing hands-on where required, whether through business analysis, problem-solving, project planning or delivery coordination.
- Supporting demand assessment and prioritisation activities to help shape and optimise the project pipeline.
- Facilitating engaging workshops and stakeholder discussions that build alignment and drive meaningful outcomes.
- Collaborating with IT, business teams and external vendors to maintain momentum and overcome delivery challenges.
- Working alongside change management and business stakeholders to support adoption and long-term success.
- Taking ownership of project outcomes by maintaining delivery momentum and ensuring initiatives deliver meaningful value to the business.
What makes us ‘just right’:
- Flexible working to help you balance work and personal responsibilities.
- Free company provided Salary Continuance insurance.
- In-House Psychologist.
- Extended EAP to support you and your eligible family members.
- Bi-Monthly Colleague Lunch.
- Dress for your day.
- Social Club events.
- Working in a vibrant and collegiate culture where your contribution is valued.
