The Opportunity:
In this role, you will take ownership of key mine geology projects across the St Ives Gold Mine, supporting safe and efficient ore extraction while contributing to resource growth and operational success. You will play a critical role in geological interpretation, grade control, reconciliation and mentoring geologists, while collaborating closely with mining and technical services teams in a high-performing environment.
Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles.
Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.

About the Role
Lead mine geology projects supporting safe and efficient production outcomes
Conduct geological interpretation, orebody modelling and grade control activities
Complete daily field inspections, mapping, sampling and ore mark-ups
Monitor and reconcile production performance against geological models
Ensure QAQC protocols are maintained across sampling and geological data collection
Collaborate with mining, planning and technical services teams to optimise Medium to Long term plan
Drive continuous improvement in Mine Geology by leading and implementing change management processes that deliver sustainable improvements in operational performance, efficiency, and productivity
Skills & Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Geology or related discipline
Proven experience in mine geology, ideally within gold operations
Strong capability in geological interpretation, grade control and ore mark-up
Experience working within production environments and reconciliation processes
Ability to mentor junior geologists and contribute to team capability
Current manual driver’s licence
