About Us
Holland Park Child Care Centre is a well-established early learning service located in Holland Park, Brisbane. Our centre provides high-quality education and care for children in a nurturing and supportive learning environment guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator (Room Leader level) to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality early learning programs for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in preparing and delivering developmentally appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development.
- Supporting the management of children’s behaviour by modelling and encouraging positive interactions and guiding their social development.
- Assisting with daily care routines, including mealtime, rest time, and hygiene, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment at all times.
- Maintaining confidentiality, lift children or equipment when required, and comply with food safety standards.
- Liaising with families to ensure open and effective communication.
- Maintaining accurate child records and work effectively with children with additional needs.
- In consultation with the Director, prepare, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs and daily care routines for individual children or groups.
- Supervising Level 3 employees, students on placement, and untrained staff and provide professional support and guidance within the team.
- Contributing to the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan, complete required reports and documentation (e.g. incidents, injuries, medications).
- Supporting centre promotion through open days and parent visits.
- Attending and actively participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and maintain required in-service training hours.
Adhering to all centre policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements under the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), and relevant regulations.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification
- Experience working as an Early Childhood Educator or Room Leader
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Current Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $39.00 – $45.00 per hour
