About the role
The Pharmacy Storeperson contributes to the delivery of a safe, efficient and effective pharmacy service within the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Pharmacy Department. Working under the supervision of the Storeperson Supervisor and pharmacists, the role supports the management and distribution of pharmaceutical stock and medicines across the hospital to ensure uninterrupted patient care and service delivery.
The successful candidate will undertake stock management, distribution and delivery activities, including management of ward imprest supplies, inventory control and pharmaceutical storage processes. The role plays an important part in maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting medication supply chains and ensuring compliance with legislative, operational and quality requirements.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide efficient and accurate pharmaceutical stock distribution services, including ward imprest management, stock replenishment and medicine deliveries.
Support inventory management activities through stock receipting, stock rotation, expiry date monitoring, stocktakes and storage management.
Ensure the safe handling, storage and delivery of medicines in accordance with legislative requirements, departmental procedures and cold chain standards.
Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork while contributing positively to a collaborative pharmacy service environment.
Participate in learning and development activities while maintaining compliance with workplace policies, procedures and safety requirements.
