We are seeking a caring, experienced and community-minded Podiatrist to join our friendly multidisciplinary medical centre in Casula.
Our practice has a strong focus on providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to families, older patients and our culturally diverse local community. We are looking for a podiatrist who enjoys working collaboratively with GPs and other allied health professionals and who would like to develop a long-term role within our practice.
About the Role
The successful applicant will provide comprehensive podiatry services to patients across a broad range of ages, with a particular emphasis on geriatric care, chronic disease management and preventative foot care.
The role would suit a podiatrist who values continuity of care and enjoys becoming part of a supportive, family-oriented medical practice.
Responsibilities may include:
- General podiatry assessment and treatment
- Geriatric and elderly foot care
- Diabetic foot assessments and ongoing management
- Chronic disease and high-risk foot management
- Nail, skin and routine foot care
- Biomechanical and musculoskeletal assessments
- Patient education and preventative foot care
- Working closely with our GPs and nursing team to coordinate patient care
- Managing patients referred under Medicare chronic condition management arrangements where appropriate
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- AHPRA-registered as a Podiatrist
- Experienced or confident in geriatric and elderly patient care
- Friendly, compassionate and patient-focused
- Comfortable working with patients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable and interested in developing long-term relationships with patients and the practice
- Willing to bulk bill pensioners and eligible patients where appropriate
- Experienced in a general practice or multidisciplinary medical centre environment would be highly regarded
