About the Role
As a Customer Service Officer, you'll be at the centre of our operations-supporting sales, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring our commercial projects run smoothly from opportunity to delivery. This is more than customer service - it is a dynamic, high impact sales support role.
What You'll be Doing:
Customer & Sales Support
- Manage enquiries and orders via phone and email with speed and accuracy
- Keep customers informed on manufacturing timelines, delivery updates, and any changes
- Deliver responsive, professional, and solutions-focused service
Pipeline & CRM Ownership
- Manage and maintain the commercial project pipeline through CRM
- Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and forecasting of opportunities
- Maintain CRM compliance and produce regular activity and sales reports
Order & Account Management
- Process customer orders, credits, and returns efficiently
- Handle quality issues and complaints with professionalism and urgency
- Support Tier 1 commercial customers and major project accounts
Sales Growth & Lead Generation
- Build sales pipelines through outbound calling and lead nurturing
- Support external sales reps by setting appointments and progressing opportunities
- Assist in closing smaller sales opportunities
Collaboration & Impact
- Act as a bridge between sales, estimating, logistics, and manufacturing
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and forecasting
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns and promotions
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders
Your Hours of Work: Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm
What you bring to the role
You're a motivated, customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships and solving problems. You take initiative, stay organised under pressure, and bring a positive, team-first attitude to everything you do. To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- 5+ years' experience in customer service or sales support
- Strong experience with SAP, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Proven ability in lead generation, nurturing, and pipeline management
- Understanding of the commercial construction industry
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, self-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
