THE ROLE
The Project Officer, Housing and Homelessness Cultural Safety provides project management and business systems support for projects identified in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Safety framework. Supporting the Cultural Safety team and the broader First Peoples Housing and Homelessness Branch, the position provides project advice and support across a range of initiatives to progress cultural safety across Homes Victoria and the housing and homelessness sectors.
The position provides a range of effective support functions, including assisting with project related tasks, assistance with document presentation including facilitating written correspondence, utilising MS Word and PowerPoint to develop communication materials, triaging stakeholder and information requests and managing and improving teams administrative processes and inbox management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach including relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations, Traditional Owners and the broader First Peoples housing and homelessness sector.
- Support projects identified in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Safety framework to meet departmental objectives including contributing to project planning and development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
- Assist the Manager and broader First Peoples Housing and Homelessness branch by collating data, enabling monthly reporting mechanisms and providing guidance regarding processes and systems
