About The Sanderson

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide training, mentoring, and support for new FOH staff.
- Provide clear communication and direction to staff during service periods.
- Supervise daily performance of waitstaff to ensure service standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the dining area.
- Oversee the cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene of tables, dining areas, and service stations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify risks and ensure protocols are followed.
- Evaluate and monitor service delivery, providing constructive feedback to staff.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Foster positive guest relationships by recognising repeat customers and celebrating special occasions.
- Work with management to ensure waitstaff are informed of daily specials and menu updates.
- Ensure FOH staff are knowledgeable about all menu items, specials, and pairing recommendations.
About You:
- Certificate III in Hospitality (Restaurant Front of House), or
equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in similar roles
- At least 18 months’ relevant work experience in Australia on a temporary visa
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor and train FOH staff.
- High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage peak service with calmness and efficiency.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and pairing basics.
