About the Role
As a Community Support Worker, no two days are the same. You may provide support in a participant's home, in the community, during social outings, or within respite and residential settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals
- Assisting with community access, social activities and appointments
- Encouraging independence and skill development
- Providing personal care and daily living support
- Assisting with meal preparation, domestic tasks and household activities
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Working collaboratively with participants, families and support networks
Skills and Experiences:
About You
You are someone who is passionate about supporting others and committed to providing person-centred care.
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in disability, community services, aged care or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A current driver's licence
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- A current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
