Your New Role
CV Services is seeking an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join our Infrastructure Services team, delivering electrical infrastructure projects across Logan, Ipswich and the broader South East Queensland region.
Working on primarily Energex subdivision projects, you'll lead small civil crews of 3-4 team members, overseeing the installation of conduits, streetlight footings, electrical pits and NBN pit systems. Projects typically range from several weeks to a few months, providing variety while maintaining consistent work and strong team continuity.
As a hands-on leader, you'll be responsible for:
Leading and coordinating daily civil construction activities
Supervising crews and ensuring safe, productive site operations
Delivering civil works associated with electrical infrastructure projects
Coordinating works around live services
Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements
Supporting project delivery across multiple subdivision and infrastructure sites
Operating machinery and working on the tools when required
There may also be opportunities for away work in regional Queensland as our project portfolio continues to grow.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Proven experience as a Civil Leading Hand or Supervisor
Experience working around live services
Strong understanding of TMR standards and civil construction practices
Ability to lead, motivate and develop small site-based crews
Strong planning, communication and organisational skills
Flexibility to work day or night shifts as required
Team-first attitude and commitment to safe work practices
MR Driver's Licence (desirable)
Energex accreditations (highly regarded)
Excavator licence and posi-track ticket (highly regarded)
