You’re looking to embed yourself in projects of different sizes and become part of a team that’s shaping the landscape across NSW.
This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, step out of the confines of a standard project role and expand your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals.
In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team delivering inspection (night and day), surveillance and compliance of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and third party traffic and systems works.
This role will see you support the inspection and surveillance of ITS assets, identify defects, assist with prioritisation and solutions, undertake delegated Works Authorisation Deed (WAD) administration, support third party ITS construction and upgrades, contribute to asset handovers, and develop capability in emerging traffic and systems technologies.
You will support safe, functional and compliant traffic and ITS outcomes in a complex road network environment involving evolving technologies, multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

About you
Technical and analytical expertise developed across traffic systems, electrical and electronic systems, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and construction project environments
Strong capability in inspecting ITS assets, managing Works Authorisation Deed (WAD) administration and addressing asset performance and compliance issues
Proven experience supporting project delivery and asset handovers to achieve safe, reliable and compliant network operations
Recognised as customer focused and collaborative, with the ability to provide practical guidance on traffic control and advisory systems
Experienced in traffic signals, ITS maintenance and construction activities, contractor and stakeholder coordination, and interpreting plans, diagrams and technical documentation
You have an electrical trade qualification, hold a valid in-date C class driver licence, as well as a White Card, and are technically savvy with the ability to use a range of computer-based applications. An understanding of traffic management and traffic signal works is highly desirable.
The position is a Statewide Role as described in the position description. An office location will be confirmed with the successful applicant.
You must be prepared to travel to project sites throughout NSW and be willing to work outside regular hours to commission signal works that usually occur at night due to Road Occupation Licence requirements.
