Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.
PYMHWS is leading a bold and values-driven transformation in youth mental health care across Melbourne’s north and west. We exist to walk alongside young people, their families, carers, supporters and kin delivering care that is accessible, inclusive, developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed, and grounded in lived experience. The Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact finance transformation program and make a lasting contribution to PYMHWS. Working directly with the Chief Financial Officer, you will shape the future of the organisation's finance function by strengthening governance, enhancing financial capability, and embedding contemporary business partnering practices. Over an intensive six-month period, you will deliver meaningful organisational change, influence key stakeholders, and establish the foundations for a more strategic, efficient, and high-performing finance function.

About You:
We are seeking an experienced finance professional with a passion for continuous improvement, process optimisation, and delivering business value through finance transformation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools, with Power BI experience highly regarded.
Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for long-term improvement.
Proven experience in leading finance process improvement initiatives across end-to-end finance functions including Business Partnering.
Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, compliance, and accounting principles.
Demonstrated success in identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements that drive efficiency, standardisation, and operational excellence.
Experience delivering finance transformation projects, including process redesign, automation, and system enhancements.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
Highly collaborative and proactive approach with a strong focus on achieving outcomes and driving positive change.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior leader.
