This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata’d to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
- Being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander is considered a genuine occupational qualification as per section 14 of the NSW Anti Discrimination Act 1977.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with health professionals about clinical matters (within the scope of the role) and to provide sensitive customer service to a diverse range of clients.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic communication technology skills, including the ability to accurately document patient transport episodes in the electronic medical record.
- An understanding of Primary Health Care.
- Physically capable of transferring patients, loading, unloading and manoeuvring patients on and off stretchers or wheelchairs, in line with Work Health and Safety legislation and policy.
- Current First Aid Cardiopulmonary certificates and BLS (or willingness to obtain) as minimum qualifications, with the ability to successfully complete further mandatory and refresher training as required.
- Current licence to drive in NSW with a proven safe driving record, verified by a Roads and Maritime Services licence summary prepared within the month prior to applying for the position.
