About the opportunity
As Coordinator, Exercise Capability your primary role will be to support the design, development, delivery and evaluation of operational exercises at all levels of the organisation, with a particular focus on Incident Management exercises. You will be responsible for maintaining stakeholder engagement, monitoring expenditure and outcome analysis.
In addition, as part of the broader Exercise Capability Team, you will lead or provide event management support to large scale, state-level exercise activities.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in project/event management, ideally in an emergency service or functional area exercise management context, and/or training program development and delivery
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, with an effective and structured approach to planning
- Proven experience developing, monitoring, and managing a complex budget
- Experience in an emergency service and/or volunteer-based organisation (volunteer and/or staff) would be favourable
- Hold formal qualifications in exercise design and management (or equivalent / higher) or are willing to obtain within 12 months (provided by NSW SES)
- Willingness to support NSW SES operational activities within an Incident Management Team (IMT) if/as required

- Describe a time when, during the planning phase of an exercise, project, or event, you were required to engage with multiple stakeholders, each with their own differing priorities and points of view. Describe key challenges you faced and how you dealt with them to ensure a successful outcome.
